Driver standards
Every driver holds a valid Omani driving licence, is at least 21 years old, and completes background and driving-record checks before being allowed on the platform. Drivers are expected to maintain professional conduct and appearance, check that the vehicle is safe before each trip, and follow all Omani traffic laws. Customers rate drivers after each trip, and repeated poor ratings or unsafe driving lead to suspension.
What it costs
Because no rental vehicle is involved, you are only paying for the driver's time. Drivers set their own hourly and daily rates, shown in Omani Rials before you confirm, so you can compare and choose what fits the job.
Insurance and responsibility
The vehicle remains yours, so your own motor insurance and registration continue to apply — make sure your policy permits another licensed driver to drive the car. Drivers must keep the vehicle's documents available and report any incident to the Royal Oman Police where required, as well as to SLF Drive.
